He completed Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana. Dr. Kofi Amoah, also completed the University of California, Berkley in the United States of America with a little bit of support from the government by that time.

Dr. Kofi Amoah thinks an entrepreneur wants to have his account doubled while he is asleep. He explained on a Television show hosted by Delay that, he got his idea of success through a seminar he attended.
He is the Chief Executive Officer of Progeny Ventures. Dr. Kofi Amoah explained that he encountered difficulty in sending money to his mother in the 1990s. this propelled him to get another option with his idea of bringing the western union money transfer system to Africa.
The system started its full operations in 1995 and gradually expanded to other countries. With the great work of this system, it expanded to over 54 countries in just 12 years of its commencement.

Dr. Kofi Amoah disclosed that he quit his job to be able to start his own business. He knew things will be hard at that moment with just $4000 in his account. He burnt all his ships and left offshore to win the battle.
As a determined entrepreneur, he took the risk to quit his job with Northrop and Centricity to win the battle for success. He said “I knew I would face difficulties because, at that time, I had read the biography of successful people; J Paul Getty, Aristotle Socrates Onassis.
All these people, the problems they went through. I was scared, but I knew to get to where I wanted to be, I had to take risks.”
The idea of the western union has really made Dr.Kofi Amoah a successful man by taking the chance of seminars. The speaker explained that, if you want to be successful in life, get a job that pays you whiles you’re asleep.
